What is a hot oil body massage?
A hot oil body massage is a therapeutic treatment that uses warm, nourishing oils to relax muscles, hydrate the skin, and soothe the nervous system. The warmth of the oil helps the body relax more deeply, allowing the therapist to work more effectively on tension and stiffness. It enhances circulation, eases joint pain, and can help relieve stress and fatigue.
Often used in Ayurvedic and holistic therapies, hot oil massage not only targets physical tension but also promotes a sense of mental calm. The choice of oils—such as coconut, sesame, almond, or herbal-infused blends—can be tailored to your needs, whether you’re looking to energize, detoxify, or simply unwind. It’s ideal for anyone seeking a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Benefits of a body scrub
Pain relief: Whether you’re struggling with a sports injury, living with plantar fasciitis, or have a chronic condition such as sciatica or fibromyalgia, deep tissue massage can bring pain relief. Evidence shows that massage is a powerful pain reliever.
Healing: The increased blood flow stimulated by the massage works to help reduce inflammation and promote faster healing of injuries.
Lowers blood pressure: Studies have shown that massage can help to lower your blood pressure.
Improved flexibility: Deep tissue massage can improve the range of movement in tight muscles, allowing for better performance and safer workouts.
Relaxation: Massage is a wellbeing wonder, and deep tissue massage has the same relaxing benefits. The massage boosts the body’s release of feel-good hormones like dopamine, serotonin and endorphins ensuring you feel blissfully relaxed.
Aids sleep: As well as helping you sleep better due to pain relief, a deep tissue massage can have a soporific effect later on due to the natural injection of serotonin your body receives.
How often can I have a body scrub?
You can have massages every week to allow your toxins to drain and muscles to recover.
What is a soft and medium pressure massage?
Soft pressure massage is a gentle technique often used to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and calm the nervous system. It involves light strokes that primarily affect the superficial layers of the muscles and skin, making it ideal for individuals with heightened sensitivity, the elderly, or those recovering from illness. This type of massage encourages lymphatic drainage, improves circulation, and fosters a sense of peace and emotional balance without applying deep pressure.
Medium pressure massage offers a balance between gentle and deep techniques, making it suitable for most people seeking both relaxation and therapeutic benefits. It reaches deeper muscle layers than soft pressure massage, helping to relieve mild tension, improve flexibility, and increase blood flow. Medium pressure is often used in Swedish or therapeutic massage sessions and can help alleviate chronic aches while still maintaining a comfortable and soothing experience.
What is included in the body massage?
A massage will typically focus on a full body relaxation or your primary areas of discomfort.
The full body massage will typically focus on the back, neck, shoulders, chest, thights, buttocks and legs.
The increased pressure helps to alleviate any soreness or imbalance caused by injury or tenseness. If you have anxiety or are suffering with stress, a deep tissue massage will help to release the tension you are carrying in your body as a result.
Let the massage therapist know if you would like to avoid any areas.
You will have to remove your clothing for the massage but you can keep your shorts on during the treatment.
Massage stimulates blood flow by applying rhythmic pressure to muscles and soft tissues, helping oxygen and nutrients reach cells more efficiently.
Massage treatments can last between 30, 45 and 60 minutes.
Is it normal to feel nervous before a massage?
Yes, it’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous, especially if it’s your first massage or your first time with a male therapist. Rest assured, our therapists are trained professionals who prioritize your comfort, privacy, and well-being. They will guide you through what to expect, check in with you about pressure preferences, and make sure you’re at ease throughout the session. You’re always welcome to ask questions, set boundaries, or speak up at any time during the massage. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and relaxing environment where you can truly unwind.
What should I wear during the massage?
You can undress to your own comfort level—some clients choose to fully undress (naked), while others prefer to keep on underwear.
Being naked allows the buttock / glutes area to be massaged which helps elevate lower back pain and stiffness.
Your underware can also be lowered to maintain your comfort level to allow the body area to be worked on.
Your privacy and comfort are always respected. During the session, you will be professionally draped with towels ensuring only the area being treated is exposed. This standard practice maintains a safe, respectful, and relaxing environment.
If you have any concerns or preferences, feel free to discuss them with your male therapist before the session begins—they are there to make you feel comfortable and at ease.
