What is a deep tissue massage?

A deep tissue massages use firm pressure in the back, shoulders, arms, legs and buttocks.

Deep tissue massages are used to break up scar tissue and break down muscle adhesions (the “knots” that we feel in our muscles are muscle adhesions, which are bands of rigid and painful muscle tissue). These knots can inhibit our circulation and cause pain and inflammation.

You will have to remove your clothing for the massage but you can keep your shorts on during the treatment. 

Massage treatments can last between 30, 45 and 60 minutes.

 

Am I too hairy for a men's body massage?

There is no restriction on hair growth to receive a massage. 

Aftercare following your massage treatment

      It’s not unusual to get a headache after a deep tissue massage, or even to feel slightly nauseous. This is to do with toxins on the move in your body. Drink plenty of water, relax, and both of these effects will ease.
